There is a big shortage of nurses all over the world, that is why Indonesian nurses have to take the chance of working overseas. There are several countries that have accepted nurses from Indonesia including Australia, America, England, Netherlands, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Emirate Arab, etc.
In Indonesia the number of nurses is very big, unfortunately job vacancy for nurses in Indonesia is very limited. Consequently, the number of nurses that are unemployed or jobless is increasing more and more.
In term of skills and knowledge Indonesian nurses are eligible to compete with the other nurses from Phillipine and India but Indonesian nurses are not as good as Phillipino and Indian nurses in Nursing Management and English proficiency.
